Book early! Due to human limitations, a shortage of seamstresses, and Carissa’s growing responsibility as a bridal sewing educator, The Gilded Thimble books quite a ways out.

Carissa is the owner and principal seamstress of The Gilded Thimble, inc. 

She graduated from Hollins University In Roanoke Virginia. She has been sewing for over 30 years. She has designed and manufactured clothing lines for boutiques but now finds her niche in the bridal industry.

She is an outgoing, creative soul who infuses her work with passion and laughter.  Expect spontaneous interaction as she crafts your gown to your form.

Her feelings about sewing?  This is about detail.  This is crucial.  But this is also fun!
